Why PeriSlayer

Puberty got a pamphlet. Perimenopause got a shrug.

Nobody handed us a chapter on this. One week your gums feel weird, your dreams get weirder, and the thermostat is suddenly your nemesis. The next, a thirty-second yogurt ad has you crying so hard you need to sit down.

And nowhere, in any of it, does anyone mention that these could all be the same story.

Perimenopause isn’t always a hot flash and a fan. Sometimes it’s a symptom you would never, in a million years, file under “hormones.” So instead of spiraling into “is it just me,” PeriSlayer hands you a soft place to land, a running list of what’s actually happening, and the very validating moment of realizing, “oh. That’s a whole thing.”

We were basically told to figure this out with intuition and a browser tab.

Absolutely not.

What it does

Tiny taps. Big 'aha.'

This is not a spreadsheet with extra steps. It’s a two-tap check-in that quietly does the heavy lifting your brain refuses to do on a bad week.

Tap, don't journal

Sleep, mood, hot flashes, cycle, brain fog. Tap whatever’s loud today, skip the rest. No mandatory fields. No streaks scolding you. No guilt for not being a wellness influencer.

Gentle charts

Soft, quiet visuals. No red alerts. No wearable side-eye. No wristband personally disappointed in your resting heart rate.

Symptom decoder

Clear explainers for 40+ symptoms most doctors forgot to mention. Burning tongue. Electric-shock feelings. Phantom smells. Rage at inanimate objects. No Latin. No tropical fungus scares.

A very observant friend

The kind who remembers what you wore, ate, and said on a Tuesday three weeks ago. Except this one is an engine, does not judge, and never brings up your ex.

Doctor-visit cheat sheet

One tidy page you can text, print, or slide across the desk. Less 'I just feel off.' More 'here is my last 30 days in bullet points.'

Smart analysis

Seven days in, the AI starts bringing receipts.

A week of quick check-ins is all it takes. After that, Smart Analysis quietly stitches your logs into something that finally makes sense.

The trigger snacks. The cluster weeks. The late-night brain circus. The mystery Wednesdays.

No spreadsheets. No wearable guilt trip. No “maybe it’s just me” spiral.

Real pattern recognition, translated into human sentences you can actually use.

Because you did not imagine any of it.

Your hormones are just deep in their villain era.

Stuff you'll suddenly notice

  • Why Wednesday keeps personally attacking you
  • The week your hot flashes throw a group chat
  • When brain fog rolls in (spoiler: it has a schedule)
  • How your cycle is secretly running the show
  • The snacks, walks, and habits that actually help
  • The one 'random' thing that isn’t random at all

This week

Bad sleep is basically a hot-flash trailer.

Based on 14 days of entries, and yes, the engine noticed it four times in a row. Not a coincidence. Not a personality flaw. A pattern.

MonTueWedThuFriSatSun

More than an app. A movement.

The AI decodes your symptoms. The rest of PeriSlayer keeps you company through them: a community that gets it, a Pilates pro who tailors movement to what your body is doing this week, playlists for the mood you woke up in, and yes, horoscopes for when science is not enough. Part tool, part clubhouse, part soft place to land.

The tool

The pattern engine

AI that reads your logs and finds the story.

Log in a few taps. After a week, the engine starts connecting the sleep, the mood, the cycle timing, and the hot flashes into patterns you can actually read. No spreadsheets, no dashboards, no wearable side-eye. Just, 'here is what your body has been doing, and here is what to bring to your doctor.'

Peri-Pals: anonymous, warm, chaotic in the best way.

Peri-Pals is our in-app forum where women trade survival notes, celebrate the tiny wins, and roast the medical gaslighting, all under fun anonymous names. Ask the question you've been too tired to Google. Someone in the group has been there this week.

The Pilates pro

Real movement, matched to what your body is doing this week.

We have a Pilates professional on the team. She designs gentle, perimenopause-aware sessions and, once you're logging, the app suggests the ones that fit what your patterns are actually showing: joint pain week, sleep-wrecked week, low-energy week. Low impact, joint friendly, built for the hormonal wave.

Playlists for the moods we know too well.

Curated PeriSlayer playlists for whatever version of you woke up today. Rage clean. Wide awake. Gentle Sunday reset. Hot-flash disco. Music that meets you where the hormones dropped you, without one 'girl boss' anthem in sight.

The horoscopes

For when science is not enough and Mercury will do.

A weekly wink for every sign, warm and a little sarcastic. Because sometimes the pattern engine says 'your cortisol is up' and you just need Mercury to take the blame. Not a substitute for the data. A palate cleanser for the days when the data is a lot.

Founder note

A note from Elyse

I was in perimenopause way longer than I realized.

Looking back, I think my symptoms started around 42. Frozen shoulder, itchy ears, brain fog, and the kind of random rage that makes you want to fight a dishwasher. I had no clue any of it could be connected.

That is exactly why I built PeriSlayer. A place to track the weird stuff, spot the patterns, and realize you are definitely not the only one going through this insanity.

And most importantly, a place where we can laugh about it together. Because if we are going to be sweaty, exhausted, forgetful, itchy, and occasionally furious at household appliances, we might as well have some fun with it.

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

What is PeriSlayer?
PeriSlayer is an AI perimenopause pattern engine wrapped in a warm, slightly sarcastic iOS app. It tracks your symptoms in seconds, surfaces the patterns behind your hot flashes, sleep, mood, and cycles, and gives you clear context to bring to your doctor.
Is PeriSlayer just a symptom tracker?
No. Tracking is the foundation, but PeriSlayer is also a movement. Members get community, a Pilates program designed by a perimenopause-aware movement specialist, curated playlists, and even horoscopes for when science isn't enough. Part tool, part clubhouse, part soft place to land.
What is the PeriSlayer movement?
It's the idea that perimenopause deserves better than silence and shrugged shoulders. Through the app, the Clubhouse community, Pilates, playlists, and shared stories, we're building a space where you can track your body, connect with people who get it, and laugh at the weird stuff along the way.
How does the AI pattern engine work?
You log symptoms in a few taps. The engine looks for connections across sleep, mood, cycle timing, and daily entries, then shows you the trends in words you can use. No spreadsheets, no dashboards, no judgment. Nothing gets sold, nothing gets shared.
What is the PeriSlayer Pilates program?
A real Pilates professional on the team designs gentle, perimenopause-aware movement. Low impact, joint-friendly, and built around what your patterns show your body is doing this week. The full program unlocks inside the app, with waitlist members meeting it first.
Is there a community?
Yes. The Clubhouse is where you connect with people who actually get it. Think group chat energy, but without the group chat exhaustion. It's a place to vent, compare notes, and laugh about the parts nobody warned you about.
What about playlists and horoscopes?
Curated soundtracks for the mood you woke up in, plus horoscopes for when you need a little cosmic context. They're entertainment, not therapy, but sometimes a good playlist and a 'the moon is being weird' explanation are exactly what the day needs.
When does the app launch?
Beta drops August 20, 2026. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment it hits the App Store. No drip campaigns, no teasers.
How do I join the beta?
Drop your email in the waitlist at the top of the page. When the beta is ready, you'll get a TestFlight link and first access. Beta is free to use.
Is PeriSlayer free?
Yes, joining the waitlist is free and the beta will be free to use. Pricing for the full release hasn't been finalized, but there will always be a meaningful free tier.
Is PeriSlayer available on Android?
Not yet. iOS beta drops August 20, 2026 on the App Store. As soon as the iOS beta wraps, we kick off the Android push to Google Play, so pick 'Android' when you join the waitlist and you'll get first access when your build is ready.
Is PeriSlayer medical advice?
No. PeriSlayer is a wellness companion, not a medical device. It helps you spot patterns and prepare for conversations with your clinician, who remains the person you should talk to about diagnosis and treatment.
What is perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the transition phase before menopause, when hormones start to fluctuate. It typically starts in the early-to-mid 40s and lasts 4–8 years. Symptoms range from irregular cycles and hot flashes to brain fog, mood swings, and joint pain.
How do I contact you?
Use the contact form at the bottom of the page, or email hello@perislayer.com. For business inquiries, press, or partnership questions, the contact form is the fastest way. Beta signups still happen through the waitlist.
How do you protect my data?
We only collect your email for the waitlist, and we never sell or share it. In the app, your logs stay yours. See the Privacy Policy for the full version.
