PeriSlayer Privacy Policy

Your health data is yours. Full stop.

PeriSlayer is a perimenopause symptom-tracking app for iPhone and Android, operated by PeriSlayer LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("PeriSlayer," "we," "us"). Because you trust us with sensitive health information, this policy explains in plain English what we collect, how we use it, and what we will never do with it. It covers the PeriSlayer app on iPhone and Android and our website, perislayer.com.

The short version: your symptom data is stored privately, visible only to you, used only to power your own insights, and never sold, never shown to advertisers, and never shared except as described below. The only things other people can see are the posts you choose to share in our Peri-Pals community, under a nickname. PeriSlayer provides supportive insight, not medical advice.

What we collect in the app

Account information: your email address and a password, used to create and secure your account.
Profile details you provide: such as your first name, age range, menopause stage, and any optional health background you choose to add (like conditions, medications, supplements, or family history). These personalize the app and your insights.
Your daily health logs: the symptoms, ratings, cycle and bleeding details, lifestyle factors (including things like caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, or cannabis if you choose to log them), and notes you record. This is the heart of the app and the most sensitive data we hold.
Health and activity data you allow us to read: see "Apple Health and Health Connect" below.
Analysis results: summaries and insights generated from your logs, saved so you can review them and share them with your doctor if you choose.
Community content: if you join Peri-Pals, your community nickname and the posts, replies, and likes you share there.
Pilates program details: if you join the optional Pilates program, the answers and requests you submit for it.
Feedback you send us: if you use the in-app feedback form, we receive your message, the app version, and an optional contact email if you provide one.
Account status: whether your account is a founding member (see "Founding members and purchases" below).

The app does not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Apple Health and Health Connect

With your permission, PeriSlayer can read the following from Apple Health (on iPhone) or Health Connect (on Android): sleep, menstrual flow, steps, exercise minutes, and active calories.

Access is read-only. PeriSlayer never writes anything back to Apple Health or Health Connect.
We use this data only to pre-fill your daily check-in so you type less. You can see and change every pre-filled value before you save. Once saved, it is part of your daily log and is treated exactly like information you entered yourself.
We never use this data for advertising, never sell it, and never share it with third parties for marketing, data brokers, or information resellers.
PeriSlayer's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can turn access off at any time in PeriSlayer's settings, in the Health app on iPhone (Sharing, then Apps), or in Health Connect on Android.

SMS communications

You can reach PeriSlayer LLC by text at (610) 510-7981.

By contacting us via SMS with your mobile number, you consent to receive customer care text messages from PeriSlayer LLC. Msg&Data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Text HELP for help. Reply "STOP" at any time to opt out.

If you choose to receive text messages from PeriSlayer, we use your phone number and SMS consent only to send the messages you requested. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

We may provide your phone number to service providers only as necessary to deliver those messages on our behalf. Those providers may not use your information for their own marketing. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from PeriSlayer.

The Peri-Pals community

Peri-Pals is an optional community inside the app.

You take part under a community nickname, never your real name or email.
Anything you post, reply, or like in Peri-Pals can be seen by other PeriSlayer members. Please do not share anything there you want to keep private. Your daily logs, notes, and analysis are never shown in the community.
You can report posts or members and block members. Reports are reviewed by a person at PeriSlayer.
To keep the community safe, we are notified of new posts and replies, and we may remove content or remove members who break the community rules.
If you delete your account, your community nickname, posts, replies, and likes are deleted too.

Peri-Scope, links, and reminders

Peri-Scope: if you choose a zodiac sign, it is saved on your device and used to create your daily horoscope. It is for entertainment only.
Links to other services: the app links to outside services such as Spotify (for our podcast and playlists), YouTube, and our social media pages. When you open those links, that service's own privacy policy applies.
Reminders: daily reminder notifications are scheduled on your phone. We do not use an outside push notification service to send them.

How your data is stored

Your logs are stored on your device and synced to your private, secured cloud account so a lost phone does not mean lost data.
Cloud storage is protected by row-level security: each account can only ever access its own data. Data is encrypted in transit.
Our cloud infrastructure is provided by Supabase, a professional database and authentication service. Your data is stored and processed in the United States.

How AI insights work

When you run an AI analysis, a summary of your tracked data is processed by Anthropic's Claude, an AI service, through our secure server. This generates your personal summaries, pattern insights, symptom guidance, and your Peri-Scope horoscope. Your data sent for this purpose is not used by Anthropic to train its AI models. AI requests require a signed-in account and are rate-limited to protect the service. AI results are for information only and can be wrong.

Your doctor report

You can create a PDF report of your patterns for your doctor. It is created on your phone, and it is only shared if you choose to send or share it yourself.

The Pilates program (optional)

If you choose to join the Pilates program, and only after you explicitly consent in the app, we share a summary of your patterns, your first name, age range, and menopause stage with the PeriSlayer Pilates professional so she can build your routine. Your day-by-day logs and notes are not shared. You can decline the program entirely and the app works exactly the same.

Founding members and purchases

Everyone who joins PeriSlayer during our beta is a founding member and keeps PeriSlayer free for good. We store this status on your account so it works on both iPhone and Android.
If we offer paid subscriptions, payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your card or bank details. We only receive whether your subscription is active.

Our website

Our website, perislayer.com, is separate from the app. It never receives your health logs or anything you enter in the app.

Advertising measurement: our website uses the Google Ads tag, which sets cookies so we can see whether our Google ads bring people to our site and may allow Google to show PeriSlayer ads to people who have visited it. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's privacy policy. You can turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Visitor statistics: our website host collects basic visit information, such as pages viewed, referring site, and general device and browser type, so we can see how the site is used.
Badges: our website shows a BetaList badge, which loads from betalist.com. When it loads, BetaList receives basic technical information such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy.
If you contact us through the website, we use what you send only to reply to you.

Who else touches your data

We use a small number of professional service providers, each only for its specific job:

Supabase: secure database, account sign-in, and server functions.
Anthropic (Claude): AI processing for your insights, as described above.
Resend: delivers account emails (like sign-up confirmations and welcome emails), feedback messages, and community safety notices to our team.
Apple: app distribution through the App Store and TestFlight, Apple Health on iPhone, and App Store payments.
Google: app distribution through Google Play, Health Connect on Android, Google Play payments, and advertising measurement on our website.

We never sell your personal or health data. We never share your app data with advertisers or data brokers, and we never use your app data for marketing or targeted advertising.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete any daily entry at any time inside the app.
You can sign out at any time; your synced data remains protected in your private account.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@perislayer.com.
Depending on where you live (for example, in certain US states, Canada, the United Kingdom, or Australia), you may have additional privacy rights, including the right to opt out of advertising cookies on our website. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Deleting your account

You can delete your PeriSlayer account and all of its data at any time:

In the app: open More, then Settings, then tap "Delete my account." This works the same on iPhone and Android.
By email: write to hello@perislayer.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We complete email deletion requests within 30 days.

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove your profile, daily health logs, analysis results, community nickname and posts, Pilates program details, feedback, and account sign-in from our systems. Data saved on your phone is removed when you delete the app.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists, so your long-term patterns stay useful to you. When your account is deleted, everything listed in "Deleting your account" is permanently removed.

Not medical advice

PeriSlayer offers supportive, educational insight built from your own data. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always talk with a qualified clinician about your health, especially anything new, severe, or worrying.

Age requirement

PeriSlayer is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we will update this page and the effective date above, and note the change in the app. We will never quietly weaken the promises on this page.
